Learning Aerobics Choreography Means Understanding a Special Vocabulary
If you have ever attended aerobics classes, you will no doubt have come across certain maneuvers that are actually part of carefully rehearsed aerobics choreography steps. however, you may not be aware that aerobics choreography also has its own special form of vocabulary and nuances, and that the list of all such aerobics choreography maneuvers are really too many for any one person to learn them all.
Floor Maneuvers
So, you may come across a number of floor maneuvers that are also the work of somebody's aerobics choreography in which you will mostly need to step normally on the floor and which may even require marching, though for the sake of variety the marching can be alternated between marching forwards and then backwards. Another alternative is known as the ?step touch' in which you make simple movements of your legs from side to side and in which you must move one leg in one direction and then the other leg moves to meet the first leg and then you move back.
There is however different aerobics choreography involved for step maneuvers in which you will need stepping in a normal fashion first onto a step and then back to the floor. The ?Basic Step' is one such maneuver though it is quite like marching in spite of the fact that you have to simply move on to the step by first placing one foot on the step .
Then, bring the other foot onto the step, and then going back and repeating the movement over and over again. Another variation is ?Tap Up' in which you must stand on one side of the step and also address the step from a parallel facing position. Then, you can place one foot on the step followed by the other and then return to the same side that you came from.
There is also certain other aerobics choreography involved for doing floor or step maneuvers in which you need to put one foot down and then lift something onto your opposite leg and among other variations that you may want to try out, there are maneuvers known as knee lift, side leg lift, hamstring curl, and V-step.
Also, by looking at the above mentioned aerobics choreography routines you should not take to thinking that all of the different steps need to be performed by them, because you can even combine various steps from different routines and thus get more out of the various choreographed aerobics exercises.
One more thing you need to be aware about all of these and many other aerobics choreography routines is that you don't actually need to memorize the various things being taught to you in the aerobics classes; rather, you just need to go along with others are doing, because after about a month, you will be able knowing them by heart anyway.
