If you are wondering how you can give yourself to God, then you need to first ask yourself how you can give yourself to Him through His Holy Spirit.  The Holy Spirit is a true being.  The Holy Spirit is your teacher and your guide.  It's important for you to have a careful understanding of the Holy Spirit.  Everyday that you wake up, it's important for you to tell the Holy Spirit how much you love Him and how much you would like to have Him involved in your life.  The Holy Spirit is the most loving person in the world and yes, He will help you to overcome many obstacles that your life may face on a daily basis.  Life without the Holy Spirit is almost impossible to live.

Each day, its important for you to set aside time to pray, write and to journal.  Prayer is an important process for all Christians because it allows you to open your spirit and your mind to God.  Doing a 30 minute prayer and Bible study session is usually a good start.  Before you do anything else, you must pray.  Prayer is the most important thing in life and the New Testament tells you to pray constantly.  God is right there when we need him and sometimes we may not see him, but we have to be aware that he is really in front of us in some sort of way. 

Prayer opens your heart so that God can work in it.  The Holy Spirit prays for us day and night and our Lord and savior Jesus Christ does the same.  The Bible says that we constantly are at war with the devil and at these difficult times, we really have to put on our sword and armor (Bible and Prayer) to fight the devil.  He constantly prowls around looking to hurt and to hurt everyone that he can find.  Just let the Holy Spirit take over your life so that you will be able to see how God is going to come upon you and help you to grow as a human being.  Learning to live a psychic life accountable to God is the first step to understanding the Holy Spirit. 

The Holy Spirit can give you many spiritual gifts to include: speaking in tongues, love, prophesy pastoral leadership, evangelism and more.  There is no saying as to how many gifts the Holy Spirit can give to you.  What's important is understanding that the Holy Spirit has a special plan for you and a purpose.  The more that you seek Him out, the more that He will open your eyes.  If you haven't asked the Holy Spirit into your life yet, then please ask Him into your life right now.  Just say, "Lord Jesus, I ask that you and the Holy Spirit come into my life this day so that I can learn more about you and about myself through your Holy Spirit."
