Free Will Astrology
In the philosophy of Free Will Astrology, each person ultimately takes the initiative for the development of his/her life. Free will is about personal choices. Regardless of our birth charts, it is believed that we all make daily choices that direct the unfolding of our life journeys. Every decision is a part of a greater composition, and that is our own personal plans for spiritual development. These personal plans for movement through the life experience are not on a conscious level in the psyche, rather they are part of a bigger, cosmic energy that can be understood by the daily placement of the planets and the stars.
This is not to say that our actions, (i.e. choices we make throughout each day) are determined by celestial activity, but that celestial activity can aid us in understanding ourselves and our choices. Karmic Astrology suggests that regardless of our fate, our thinking and our actions are ultimately free.
The very essence of our being is more than physical DNA and genetics, more than environmental circumstances. Our existence is a part of an infinite, ever-evolving mass of energy that expands far beyond our comprehension of the universe or even beyond unknown galaxies. What makes humans unique, however, is the intellect, a power that has at its core, free will.
According to the theory of Free Will Astrology, free will is representative of the karma we bring to ourselves: it is the cause of the karma we bring, as well as the effects of the karma we produce. The difference between fate and free will is that fate is limited, whereas free will is limitless. Fate is how our position in the cosmos is affected by it's relation to the rest of creation; free will, however, can override this position and even reflects our placement in the universe. Because we are free thinking entities, we have the ability to orchestrate our initial placement in the universe, thereby setting into motion the course of our lives.
Free will is a selective and discriminating process that encourages us to take action for our lives. In Free Will Astrology, concepts of planetary placements and the impact of those placements on human life serve as guidelines to help us understand ourselves. It is believed that by understanding the energy forces of astronomical phenomena on the human psyche, we will use the power of our free will to bring good karma to ourselves and to the world.
