As a psychic teenager, I had a lot of trouble accepting my body. I never felt strong or physically attractive. When I was a kid, we used to call Italian guys guidos. I'm an Italian guy as well, but the guidos were known for their good looks, fancy cars and smooth talk with girls. I felt left out most of the time because many of the young men that were in my J.H.S. were in my elementary school and they always saw me as Stephen the looser. I struck out in baseball and was overweight. I stuttered and never excelled in anything at all. I always had low self confidence and a lack of motivation for life. I wanted to be a psycic pastor, but lacked a father or a spiritual mentor to teach me the way to becoming a pastor. Everything that I trusted in fell apart and everything that I wanted to become became a disaster. The more that I saw my elementary school friends, the more of a loner I became. You see, the elementary school years will shape you for the rest of your life. Many of the students that you went to school with as a child are the cause to many problems in your adult years. If you were never affirmed and always put down, you will take that into your adulthood. You can overcome it through Jesus Christ, but it will be very difficult. I've learned that all things are possible through Jesus Christ who makes us all unique.
I used to feel uncomfortable changing in the locker room. Many teenage boys feel this discomfort because they are constantly comparing their bodies with their peers, or people that they see on television. Do you know of any teen that thinks their perfect? I don't.
I think that all people want the freedom to succeed in their life as time moves on.
My poor self confidence led me to take on many odd situations as a young man in my twenties. I felt that I was unskilled and dumb. My grades weren't that high and my spirit usually low. It would take me nearly eight years to become a pastor or a priest because I had a learning disability and all that I wanted to do was to serve Jesus Christ. The education wasn't important to me; it was serving Jesus Christ in a psychic ministry that I would truly enjoy.
