Different Spreads In Tarot Showing the Judgment Card
The different spreads in tarot card readings are used to adequately supply the truth seeker with the information desired but without overwhelming her. To this end it is not at all outlandish to have a one card spread done simply to help clarify a situation or any influences that may be factoring in on the current status quo of a situation. Conversely, a two card spread offers a bit more insight into the past, such as it influences the present, and the future, such as it may branch off from the present. Of course, by far the most accurate low card spread is the three card reading. One card denotes the past, another shows the present, and the third the future.
As such, most individuals find that this is not only immensely accurate but because it is simple there is little cause for concern that some of the information may be tainted by faulty analysis. Things become a bit dicier when the judgment card is involved; for example, when it appears in the single card spread the judgment card points toward an actual impending result. This may be a judgment based on a lack of action or the result of an ill chosen course of action; conversely, in a single card spread the judgment card may also simply offer hope that there will be change offered at some point.
For this reason most card readers will suggest a three card spread when the judgment card appears, simply to allow for a bit more information as to whether the judgment is in the past and the future is depending on it, or whether it is in the future and as such directly caused by something going on in the present. In a two card spread the judgment card appearing the past points toward a need to reconcile, especially with mistakes that may have been caused in the past. If the judgment card is placed in the future spot, once again a three card spread is indicated.
Of all the different spread in tarot showing the judgment card, it is the three cards reading that offers the most information. In the past, the judgment card clearly showcases that the present and even future actions and attitudes are based on a prior judgment. In the present, it may call for an action of decision. Mind you, it is an act that the querent must perform in the present! In the future, the judgment card may point to the act of being judged or to the act of a decision coming to fruition by means of deliverance.
