God doesn't want to remember the sins of your past. When you confess your sins to Jesus Christ, you are forgiven and when you repent of your sins, we are promising God that we will not commit the sins of our flesh any longer. When you want to break away from sin, do it! Don't let anything stop you. Never let the world control or condemn you. The ways of the Lord are righteous. Few people actually ever find the Lord in their hour of darkness. He will be there to lift you up.
I have had many hours of darkness in my life where I felt as though I could not go on. I have had experienced loneliness in which I felt that I could not live another day. I have had many areas of my life controlled by God and by demons. Your body cannot serve two masters. It cannot serve both Satan and God or else you will feel ripped apart. I once served two masters and I was unhappy, depressed and I knew that I couldn't live like that for the rest of my life.
Why should you give up sexual promiscuity in your life? You should do it so that you will have an abundant life in Jesus Christ. You should do it because you need to fulfill your life in Christ. You need accomplish it so that you will not die of any sicknesses or diseases whether they are physical or spiritual.
Can you overcome a sexual desire or hunger? My answer is yes. Read what God told Jeremiah in Jeremiah 32:26, "Then the word of the Lord came to Jeremiah: I am the Lord, the God of all mankind. Is anything too hard for me?" You must ask yourself this question and when you find the answer deep within yourself, you will find that God can heal you because nothing is impossible for the Lord. It may not happen at your speed or your own pace, but it will happen in time with God taking charge of your situation.
Don't pay any mind to modern day teaching which speaks against God's great power and loving ways. Rebuke it in the name of Jesus Christ because you don't need it. The Lord will deliver you and spare your soul even if death comes knocking at your door.
